Kenya: Kigen Is Best

Moses Kigen yesterday obliterated a strong field over 1000 runners to win the third edition of Eldoret Peace race in Eldoret. Kigen, who finished third in the New York Marathon last year, powered to victory in the 15km event in 44:10 minutes. His training mate John Mutai trailed him all the way to finish second in 44.40. Joseph Aberumoi (44:52), Joseph amenya(44:58), Sayekwo Kibet(45:01) and Bernard Koech (45:70) completed the top six places. Kigen broke away from the leading pack of seven athletes at the 3km mark to open a 30m gap and never looked back.
